In a working environment with frequent vibrations, hand safety is of vital importance. Our company has recently developed a anti-vibration gloves, which are specially designed to protect workers’ hands from vibration damage.
Background of vibration injury:
At work, if the hands are exposed to vibration for a long time, they may suffer from vibration injury, resulting in arm tremor syndrome, white finger syndrome and other symptoms. Long-term operation of hand-held vibrating tools, such as chain saws, rock drills, electric hammers, pneumatic picks, etc., can cause such injuries. Long-term vibration of the hands with tools can also cause damage to the blood circulation system, and white finger syndrome is prone to occur, especially in wet and cold environments. Due to poor blood circulation, the hands become pale and numb. If the sensory nerves are damaged, the hand’s sensitivity to temperature will decrease, the sense of touch will fail, and it may even cause permanent numbness.
Application scenarios of anti-vibration gloves:
Applicable jobs: Anti-vibration gloves are mainly used for jobs that are exposed to vibration for a long time, such as pneumatic hammer drilling and motorcycle driving.
Winter use: In winter, vibration-damping materials can be added to cold-proof gloves to prevent both cold and vibration.
Design requirements for anti-vibration gloves according to EN ISO 10819:2013:
- The thickness of the shock-absorbing material placed on the palm of the glove should not be greater than 8 mm.
- The same shock-absorbing material should be placed on the palm of the glove as on the fingers and thumb.
- The shock absorbing material should cover the entire palm area and cover three phalanges of each finger and two phalanges of the thumb.
- The thickness of vibration- reducing material placed in the fingers and thumb sections of the glove shall be equal to or greater than 0,55 times the thickness of the vibration-reducing material placed in the palm section of the glove.
Glove size and test requirements:
1.Glove size: 5 pairs of gloves should be used for testing, and the size range should be between 7 and 10. All gloves can be the same size or different sizes. Sizes 9 to 10 are recommended because operators usually manually handle gloves of these sizes.
2.Testers: The test should be performed by 5 operators, each using a pair of gloves.
3.Material description: The manufacturer should provide a detailed description of the gloves, including the materials and fabrics used, etc.
Let us work together to protect the safety and health of every worker with innovative technology and jointly create a new chapter in industrial safety. The new anti-shock gloves are looking forward to leading the new trend of industrial safety with you!
